Devonne Draughn Foutz Joins The Stanford Who's Who Community

Stanford Who's Who welcomes the Honorable Devonne Draughn Foutz to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her outstanding work in the community.

    DALLAS, TX, June 1, 2011 /Stanford Who's Who/ -- Stanford Who's Who welcomes the Honorable Devonne Draughn Foutz to the ranks of leading professionals as a result of her outstanding work in the community. As a Silver Haired Legislator with the Dallas County Area Agency on Aging, as well as throughout her incredible professional career, Devonne has routinely demonstrated the vision, dedication and diligence necessary to be considered among the best.

The Dallas County Area Agency on Aging is the department under the umbrella of the Community Council of Greater Dallas responsible for planning, advocating, coordinating resources and providing services for seniors and their caregivers in the Dallas County area. The organization submits resolutions that become laws, such as Silver Alert, Light Up, Senior Day, Senior Abuse Act, and Voting Rights.

Devonne is involved in fundraising, lobbying, and legislation. She serves as Texas Co-Chair of the Education/Finance and Technology Committee and as a National Legislator. During her collegiate career, Devonne earned a Master's degree in Library Information Sciences from the University of Maryland. She is a member of the National Association of Negro Woman, Texas Library Association, NAA, NTS, and the TSTA.
