Ruth M. Madden Celebrated for Contributions to Community Development

    EVERETT, WA, February 22, 2010 /Seniors PR News/ -- Ruth M. Madden, Ombudswoman for the Long-Term Care and Aging Division of Snohomish County, has been recognized by Cambridge Who's Who for demonstrating dedication, leadership and excellence in community development.

With 30 years of experience in public service, Ruth M. Madden excels in bookkeeping and advocacy. As the ombudswoman for the Long-Term Care and Aging Division of Snohomish County, she is responsible for visiting and communicating with residents, ensuring the satisfaction of the populace and working with Catholic Community Services of Western Washington. Additionally, she prepares luncheons and high teas for seniors, coordinates retired and senior volunteer programs, and performs a diverse array of administrative duties. In 1994, Ms. Madden retired as an administrator and was featured in Senior Source magazine in 2008. She attributes her success to her commitment, dedication as well as her desire to help others and the support she received from her mentor, Ella Hiemstra.

Ms. Madden is a certified administrator and is a member of the Retired Senior Volunteer Program and Catholic Community Services of Western Washington. A recipient of the Penny Award, she intends to continue providing ombudswoman services and giving back to the elderly and the local community.
