Karin E. Fried of Organizational Consulting Services Earns Certificate in Understanding the Needs of the Elderly CD Client

The Certificate of Study in Understanding the Needs of the Elderly CD Client focuses on the physical and mental challenges that elder clients may face.

CLEVELAND, OH, November 27, 2010 /Seniors PR News/ -- Karin E. Fried of Organizational Consulting Services has earned a Certificate of Study in Understanding the Needs of the Elderly from the National Study Group on Chronic Disorganization (NSGCD.) The purpose of the NSGCD Study Series is to provide both basic and specialized topic education on issues, concepts, and challenges presented by client work with the chronically disorganized.

This certificate focuses on the physical and mental challenges that elder clients may face. To earn this certificate, Fried was required to attend courses that explored topics ranging from understanding Alzheimer's, dementia, and memory impairment to working with adult children of elder clients. Prior to completing this coursework, Fried earned a Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization (CD). Fried has also earned her Level II Chronic Disorganization (CD) Specialist Certificate and a Certificate in Basic Hoarding Issues with the CD Client.

This Specialist Certificate provides in-depth information on chronic disorganization and how to help CD clients manage more effectively in relation to getting and staying organized. In order to earn this certificate, Fried first had to receive her Certificate of Study in Chronic Disorganization. She was also required to complete extensive educational requirements including reading several books and publications, attending numerous teleclasses, and passing a general exam based on her coursework and general knowledge of CD.

My ongoing education allows me to work with clients who are chronically disorganized in a very specific manner," said Fried. "Increasing my knowledge will enable me to provide the highest quality individualized services to my clients."
